About Makert

We build local makers a real shop.

Makert gives home bakers, cooks, growers and makers a beautiful online shop on their own web address — so they can take orders properly, look professional, and keep every penny of every sale.

Why we exist

So many of the best things in a neighbourhood are made at someone's kitchen table — the weekend baker, the jam-maker, the candle pourer. But selling them usually means wrestling a Google form, a DM inbox and a spreadsheet. Makert exists to give those makers a proper shop without the faff: a branded page that looks like they made it, an order inbox instead of a spreadsheet, and a way for neighbours to find them.

How it works

Makert is done-for-you. A maker tells us what they make, their prices and their branding, and we build their shop for them at theirname.makert.co — set up the way they actually sell, whether that's weekly preorder drops with cutoffs, always-available standing stock, or both. When it's ready, they share the link and orders start landing in their dashboard. Get your shop built →

Makers keep 100%

Makert never takes a cut of a sale and never touches the money for an order. Buyers pay the maker directly, the way they already do — Venmo, Zelle, cash, however the maker prefers. We charge makers a simple, flat fee to build and run their shop, and nothing else. There is no commission.

Simple, honest pricing

A one-off $300 to design and build the shop, then $15 a month to host it, run the dashboard and keep it supported. Cancel any time — a maker's data is always their own.

A growing neighbourhood

Every shop we build joins the Makert directory, so the more makers there are, the more customers everyone finds. Browse it to discover makers near you and order direct.
